Many of Ernest Hemingways books havehad different meaning and all in all could be interpreted in differentway, but there has n constantly been so much written just about his separate stories. Well the sr. Man and the sea had morewritten about it than any of his other novels and there havenever been so many different types of interpretations abouthis other novels. The superannuated Man and the sea is a book inwhich can be interpreted in many different ways. here youwill read what many critics have composed about the fableof a great writer, Ernest Hemingway. Many of the criticshave the same outlook on the works of Hemingway.Hemingways work The Old man and the Sea can be lookedat in many different perspectives. All the critics believed thathis styling of writing was actually defined. In 1944 ErnestHemingway went to Havana, Cuba and it was there hewrote a letter to Maxwell Perkins which states he has a ideaon a new novel called The Old Man and the Sea ( Nelsonand Jones 139). He mingway first got his idea for The OldMan and the Sea from the stories that he had heard in thesmall fish cities in Cuba by a man named Carlos Gutierrez.He had known of this man for about 20 years and thestories of the fighting marlins. It was then that he imaginedthat man under the 2 circumstances and came up with theidea. After about twenty years of muse on the story , hedecided that he would start on the novel of The Old Manand the Sea. The story The Old Man and the Sea is about aold man named Santiago who has to over get on the greatforces of nature. Things seem to always go wrong for himbecause originally he started out spill to fish for somedinner, then he caught the biggest marlin ever and it pulledhim out in the bay of Cuba even more then he was. After hewas pulled out, he hurt his hands and couldnt risk going tosleep because of the risk of sharks. When the sharks finallyattacked he lost the marlin which had become a great part ofhim because he knew that no one would be lieve him whenhe told them the size of the marlin. This has to be one of themost memorable fights in a novel that I have ever seen, but I count that the way he put the novel together was just as goodas that of the fight.
